I love birthdays. My mom always makes sure mine is the best. My favorite birthday memory is when I had a Harry Potter birthday party. I was fifteen.
It started in the bathroom when I got up. It was written on the bathroom mirror that “the birthday chamber has been opened.” Also, I had Moaning Myrtle in my bathroom. Okay, it was just a picture of her over the toilet. We had all the proclamations on the wall in the family room. There were spiders going across the wall. They weren’t real spiders, but they looked real.
I got an invitation to the Great Hall to go to my party that night. It was flown to me by Hedwig the Owl, although it was not a real owl. It was a white balloon that floated in the room and the Great Hall was our back porch. The sign 9 3/4 was on the door going outside to the porch and all the flags for each Hogwarts House were up. There were also floating candles, which looked amazing.
For food, there was chocolate frogs and butter beer. My mom made flying snitches from balls of chocolate. I had a huge pink cookie cake and opened presents. It was awesome.
I'm really looking forward to this year’s present to see what it is going to be. I'm hoping it will be tickets to Six the musical about King Henry the Eighth's wives. I have the music downloaded on my iPad and I really like it. Do you hear me mom?
