Wheelchair and scooter users: Are you tired of the wait for your manufacturer to fix your chair etc? For those of you guys in Colorado, Georgia, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Massachusetts, Virginia, Oregon, and California there is the Motor Vehicle ' Right to Repair Act that allows you to buy wheelchair parts at car repair shops instead of exclusively from wheelchair manufacturers! I am working to make this bill national. In the meantime, if you already have the Motor Vehicle ' Right to Repair Act in your state, this is a perfect opportunity to use your AAC devices to advocate for yourself and say what parts you need! For example, I would say, I need new wheels for my permobil F5 electric wheelchair. Make sure to say the make and model that you have.
