  1. Why is Liberator charging for the AAC Language Lab when it used to be free?

    The AAC Language Lab was launched in August 2009 and has been a very popular web resource for language development. In order to expand on this valuable resource and offer more content and choices to a wider range of audiences, we are charging an annual subscription fee of £19.95 including VAT.

    This minimal fee will provide the resources to continue to develop, maintain and update the Lab and keep it current by offering cutting-edge materials that both promote language development and support success. Subscribers benefit from complete access to the site including monthly resource updates, mobile lesson plans, and more.

  2. What do I get for my £19.95 subscription?

    As a subscriber to the AAC Language Lab, you will have 24/7 unlimited access to all content including innovative and interactive tools and materials for Speech Language Therapists, Teachers and Parents. All materials are available anywhere and anytime, on a variety of platforms, making teaching and learning language convenient and fun.

    For an annual fee of only £19.95 including VAT, you have a valuable resource at your fingertips anywhere, anytime to help your client, student or child learn language with easy-to-understand lesson plans and fun-filled activities.

  3. Is any of the content on the AAC Language Lab still free?

    Yes, materials that offer basic education and focus on building the foundation for understanding language stages and the process of language development remain free of charge. These free materials include information on Language Stages, the Unity® language system, and the “Let’s Talk AAC” blog. In addition, free samples of lesson plans and Can-Do activities are available to everyone to view and use prior to subscribing.

  4. Is the site mobile friendly?

    Yes, the site is designed to be mobile friendly and can be viewed on a variety of mobile devices, including iPads, Android or Windows tablets and smart phones.

  5. If I subscribe and then change my mind, will I get a refund?

    No, subscription and subscription renewal fees are not refundable. Subscriptions and subscriptions renewals are for a one-year term. You may cancel your account by not renewing it at the end of the term.

  6. If I am going on vacation and not planning to access the site, can I put my subscription on hold for a designated period and then extend it past my expiration date for the same period of time?

    No, the annual subscription runs for one continuous year and cannot be put on hold or extended beyond the original expiration date.

  7. Can I transfer my subscription to someone else?

    No, the annual subscription is not transferable.

  8. How do I subscribe?

    To subscribe, simply click the SUBSCRIBE button found at the top of the home page and follow the instructions provided. Subscribers create a Liberator account and are issued a password when they register.

  9. What are the accepted methods of payment?

    Subscriptions and subscription renewals may be completed using a credit card. The subscriber is responsible for any taxes, data charges and internet access fees.

    Liberator reserves the right to change pricing at any time. You must be authorised to use the selected payment method and authorise Liberator to charge you for the service selected under the terms stated. Contact information in your account must be kept current.

  10. If I purchase multiple subscriptions, will I receive a discount? 

    Purchase more than one subscription to the AAC Language Lab or other qualifying service (Realize Language) at the same time and you'll receive a discount. The following discounts apply: * 5 to 9 subscriptions - 10% * 10 or more subscriptions - 17.5%
  11. What will you do with my registration information? Will it be sold to telemarketers?

    Liberator respects your privacy and will not sell, rent or give your personal information to others. Like most businesses today, we want to learn more about our customers to continue to provide them with quality products and services.   12. How can I change my password?

    To change your password, log in to the website and choose ‘My Account’. Enter the new password in the password fields and save the changes.

  13. What if I have questions about my account or subscription, or I would like to speak to someone about this change? How do I get help if I have technical trouble accessing the site?

    Please contact Liberator staff for assistance. Use the ‘Contact Us’ link on the bottom of every page anytime you have a question or feedback you’d like to share with us.

  14. What if my school or organisation wants to purchase a group subscription for several individuals? Can multiple accounts be set up? 

    Subscriptions for several individuals may be purchased using a credit card. Purchase more than one subscription to the AAC Language Lab or other qualifying service (Realize Language™) at the same time and qualify for a 10% (2 -9 subscriptions) or a 17.5% (10+ subscriptions) discount. Subscription fees are not refundable.
