Summertime provides a great opportunity for rest and relaxation. It also provides fun learning opportunities without the stress of being in school. The AAC Language Lab has all you need to make this summer a time of fun and an opportunity to teach your child to talk about it!

The AAC Language Lab is pleased to announce we now have Unity supports for the free Unique units as well as the summer papers offered by News 2 You. Supports include an activity row that can be uploaded with all the fringe vocabulary needed for each lesson. There are also smart charts to provide the icon sequences for all core vocabulary needed for each lesson.
Pages can be uploaded for 28, 36, 60 and 84 locations that match the communication board offered with the summer lessons for the News 2 You paper. Core vocabulary will be in the correct space so students can practice their motor planning for those common words.
You can also choose to use vocabulary builder to help teach the words already programmed into the Unity Language system. Vocabulary is a tool in a PRC device that allows you to teach a small set of vocabulary within the full Unity language system. Instructions and insightful videos are available to help you set this up on your device.
We also have added lesson plans for Summer Camp and ESY programs based on the Top 100 Core Word List. There are 5 units available for both younger and young adult students. Resources have been included for Talking about Movies and How to Read Books to your child. There are recipes, games and crafts for each unit. Activities are simple to set up and include sample vocabulary to work on for each activity.
We hope you enjoy your summer!
